Biblical Art

I go by the name Baron, the monogram of my full name, and am the artist behind the works of Numenism. A short overview of my life is as follows: At the time of my conversion from atheism I was about to apply for entrance into an art school in Europe, but because there was war in the area I was in, I was forced to move away.

I then felt led to pursue theological studies and had the privilege of completing a B.A. in Theology at Andrews University, as well as M.A. in Biblical Studies from the Seminary at Andrews. As I became illuminated with the beauty of the truth I discovered in the Bible, works of art begin to emerge from deep within me as the expression of my fascination with the Divine.

For the past several years I have felt impressed to create a new art form that I call Numenism, a unique contemporary articulation of profound Biblical themes. The name comes from the Latin "numen," which stands for Divinity, divine power, or divine spirit, and hence Numenism denotes the art of Divine revelation.

Specifically, in my artwork, I am expressing the beauty of Biblical ideas as revealed in Scripture and the writings of Ellen White. So far, the recurring theme in my works appears to be the basic and profound concepts of the Sanctuary and the Law of God.

The mission of Numenal art is to disclose the beauty of God to the current generation, to all of those in tune with the aesthetic format of Numenism, and lead them to discover the attractiveness of the Bible and the beauty of God.
